HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT BAG?
Good question! We have over 500 products in our catalog, so it can sometimes be a bit difficult to make a choice.
Good question! We have over 500 products in our catalog, so it can sometimes be a bit difficult to make a choice. There are many factors to consider when choosing a backpack, including size, color, type, and price. Some backpacks are versatile, making them useful for a variety of outdoor activities, while others are equipped with specific features for particular activities, such as rope pockets and ski/snowboard accessories. With so many features to consider, choosing the right backpack can be an adventure in itself.
Start by asking yourself two simple questions:
What is the intended use of the backpack?
What items will the backpack need to carry?
The intended use could be for a number of activities, such as day hikes, long-distance excursions, mountaineering, or daily commuting. The expected load will vary depending on the activity; some backpacks have compression straps to adjust the size and reduce movement when the bag is not full. When trying on a backpack for the first time, it is important that it fits perfectly along the curve of your back. If possible, add weight to simulate a real outdoor situation - this will also help the backpack settle against your body.
Many Fjällräven backpacks are available in both men's and women's versions, designed to fit everyone. Women's models have a "W" at the end of the product name; for example, the Abisko 55 W is based on the same design as the Abisko 55, but the hip belt and shoulder straps are designed for optimal weight distribution on a woman's body.
Quickly discover the different product ranges or "families" as we like to call them. We have seven, all named after different regions in Sweden.
